Meta Steinfort Scholarship

The Meta Steinfort Scholarship is given to one or more students who are majoring in Spanish or double majoring in Spanish and Education. Preference will be given to students who have intentions of using their education to teach Spanish in some capacity. Qualified students will also hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 in coursework for the Spanish major, be a junior or senior by the start of the Spring 2026 semester, and have completed at least one upper-level Spanish class at UWM by the time this application is submitted.

Applications are typically accepted in October and November each year for payment the following Spring semester; students graduating in December are not eligible. For example, applications accepted in November 2025 are for the Spring 2026 semester and students graduating in December 2025 are not eligible.

  2. Letter of Recommendation: Please provide the name and email address of a former or current professor of Spanish who can provide a letter of recommendation on your behalf.
