William F. Halloran Scholarship
The William F. Halloran Scholarship is given to a sophomore with a major in the College of Letters & Science. Eligibility criteria include:
- Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Full-time student for the period of the scholarship
- Preference given to students in the Honors College and/or first generation students
- Preference given to a student majoring in English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Russian, Classics, Comparative Literature, Latin American, Caribbean & US LatinX Studies, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Communication, Art History, Jewish Studies, Comparative Ethnic Studies, Digital Arts and Culture, Film Studies, Women’s And Gender Studies, Chinese, or Japanese
Students who have an up-to-date Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application will be considered, typically in spring each year. No additional or separate application is required; students should thoroughly fill out the Panther Scholarship Portal General Application and the College of Letters & Science Scholarships and Awards Application. Awards given in spring are for the following school year so students graduating that same spring or summer are not eligible. E.G. applications reviewed in Spring 2025 are for Fall 2025; students graduating in May or August 2025 are not eligible.
