Eckman Scholarship
This scholarship is given to a meritorious Linguistics master’s level student or senior Linguistics major with a minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA. Fellowship decisions are made in the fall and the award is given in the spring semester. Students graduating in the current fall term or the upcoming winter term are not eligible.

- Students considered for scholarships all have strong GPAs. What makes you stand out from other applicants? Identify 2 to 3 things you have done outside of the classroom recently (within the past two years) to prepare for post-college life. Examples include, but are not limited to: research projects, internships, paid work, self-study of a topic of interest, leadership roles on campus or in the community, military service, volunteer work, study abroad, caretaking of a family member, etc. For each item you choose to list, briefly describe the activity, the time period it took place, and the value it provided to you as part of your educational journey.
