Paul and Evelyn Vrakas

Paul and Evelyn Vrakas created this scholarship in loving memory of their son Timothy (1953-1980), who earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1975. Like so many students, Timothy had some financial assistance from various sources but had to supplement that by working various jobs while attending school. Following graduation, he became employed by a chemical company in Madison and was working on various environmental projects. Unfortunately, just as his career was getting underway – at age 27 – leukemia took his life.
