2026 Welsh Club of the Milwaukee Area, Inc. Music Scholarship

The Welsh Club of the Milwaukee Area is offering a $1,000.00 music Scholarship for the 2026-2027 school year. $500.00 will be given to the recipient in the Fall of 2026, and $500.00 will be given in the Spring of 2027.

The Scholarship is open to Wisconsin residents of any ethic background. Preference may be given to persons of Welsh heritage.

The Scholarship is open to applicants who are not enrolled in an institution of higher learning as a music major and who carry at least twelve credits per semester. Those who intend to enroll are also eligible. The Scholarship is limited to undergraduate students.

A letter of recommendation from a faculty member or private music instructor must be submitted to the committee via U.S. postal service (not email).

A CD or digital recording of two contrasting pieces must accompany the application. The total time of both pieces should not exceed ten minutes. CD’s will be returned only if a CD mailer with adequate postage is provided.

Applications must be submitted to the Scholarship Chair by July 30, 2026.

The Scholarship Committee’s decision will be announced by August 15, 2026, and shall be final.
