2026 Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired Scholarship

Applications are now open for the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired’s annual scholarship program for postsecondary students. This long-standing initiative is a signature program of the Council and is supported through the generosity of the Preis, Nelson, and Johnson families, along with other anonymous donors. Their commitment reflects a shared belief in education as a powerful pathway to employment, independence, and lifelong success.

For the current award cycle, scholarships will be granted in the amount of $2,000 for full-time students and $1,000 for half-time students.

To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Wisconsin resident.
- Meet the vision impairment criteria outlined in the application.
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be accepted into or enrolled in a postsecondary program, including a community or technical college, undergraduate or graduate program at a university, or the Business Enterprise Program.
- Be enrolled as a full-time or half-time student.
