2026 Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) Internship/Co-Op Scholarship

Overview and Requirements:
Applications will be accepted FROM August through December 28, 2025 – THESE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES, JUNIORS, AND SENIORS (undergrad students ONLY).
Many employers are more inclined to hire students that not only have good grades, but have some work experience. This scholarship directly focuses on those students that have taken the initiative to participate in an internship or co-op to further their knowledge of the casting industry. These on-the-job experiences give the student a hands-on perspective of the casting industry. The goal of this scholarship is to reward the work experience gained in the industry with a focus on project work, lessons learned, and leadership development.

Selection Criteria:
- FEF Internship Scholarships are open to any FEF registered student who completes an internship or co-op in the metal casting industry.
- Annual Scholarships are up to $2500 each year and are dependent on the quality of the application submitted and the amount of funding available.
- Scholarship selection will be a work-performance-based.
- Students must attend a FEF Certified or Affiliated School.
- The application deadline is December 28, 2025.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified in Spring 2026.

Submission Needs to Include:
- Student application (linked on website)
- Evaluation form from employers (your employer must fill out this form for a complete application) (linked on website)

Student’s 1-2 page report – minimum of 250 words – about your internship/co-op experience (nick@fefinc.org; subject line: Internship Scholarship)
