Fall 2026 Wisconsin Space Grant (WSGC) Consortium Undergraduate Scholarship
Purpose:
The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduates pursuing STEM studies aligned with NASA Mission Directories.
Proposal Evaluation:
A technical advisory panel selects award winners based on academic performance and the demonstrated interest in pursuing a STEM career.
*NOTE: Students also applying for other scholarship/fellowship funding programs should submit a statement distinguishing the Undergraduate Scholarship application from other scholarship/fellowship applications. The Technical Advisory Panel gives primary consideration to first-time Undergraduate Scholarship awardees.
Program:
All awards are fully competitive awards of opportunity in which applications are reviewed by the WSGC Technical Advisory Panel and other experts as needed. Awards are made by the Assistant Director based on recommendations from the Associate Director.

Application Requirements:
Applicants must:
• Be a Wisconsin resident during the academic year.
• Be enrolled full-time in (or admitted/applied to) a WSGC member college/university.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA (applications below 3.0 considered individually).
• Submit a complete online application.
Supporting Materials Required with Application:
Two-page statement addressing:
- Why you seek this scholarship
- Past STEM experiences
- Current STEM interests linked to NASA Mission Directorates
- Planned STEM-related program of study
High school transcript (incoming freshmen only)
Most recent college transcript (unofficial accepted; not required for incoming freshmen)
Award Acceptance Components:
Attend the Annual Wisconsin Space Conference (Aug. 2026 for Spring awards; Aug. 2027 for Fall awards).
Submit award acceptance materials: W9, Award Agreement, biography, and professional photo.
Submit award closeout materials: student story, project photos, and a summary report.
