Hmong Scholarship

The Hmong Scholarship, provided by Bader Philanthropies, supports students at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee to cover tuition-related expenses and other outstanding expenses that are paid through students’ UWM’s PAWS account. We recognize that students currently have a great need for financial assistance and this one-time award for the upcoming spring term is designed to help relieve balances that may have carried over from previous semesters or financial barriers that are preventing students from completing their degree.

Staff from the Southeast Asian American Student Center (SEAASC) will review applicants’ financial aid status and other information to help determine eligibility for the upcoming spring term.

Eligibility Criteria:
- A current UWM undergraduate student eligible to enroll
- Full-time status for the upcoming spring term
- Financial need as demonstrated by a filed FAFSA for the current academic year
- Demonstrated active participation in the Hmong student communities at UWM or in the Hmong community-based organizations
