Greater Milwaukee Foundation American Association of University Women-Milwaukee Branch Scholarship

Awarded to students who satisfy the following criteria:

  • Graduate or undergraduate returning adult student (non-traditional). Undergraduates must have achieved junior standing.
  • Full-time or part-time student carrying a minimum of six credits.
  • From Milwaukee County. (This scholarship is not intended for international students.)
  • Demonstrated financial need as determined by the FAFSA
  • Good academic standing, with a minimum 2.0 GPA

Undergraduate applicants must have started a degree program, had enrollment interrupted for a minimum of one semester, and are now returning to complete a degree.

Graduate applicants must have experienced a significant gap in time, of at least three or more years, between achieving an undergraduate degree and enrolling in a graduate program.

The recipient shall demonstrate a commitment to promoting the mission of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), which is to advance gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy. Such commitment may be demonstrated through a personal essay, and/or through activities such as employment, the pursuit of knowledge, research, advocacy, or volunteerism with student or community organizations.
