Carol M. Reinagle Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to select School of Information Studies (SOIS) new and continuing graduate students satisfying the following criteria:
enrolled part or full-time in the Master’s in Library and Information Science (MLIS): School Librarianship program within SOIS
-enrolled in the School Library Media Program within SOIS
-current or permanent resident of the State of Wisconsin
-demonstrated financial need (as determined by FAFSA)
-academic merit (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0)
-maintain satisfactory academic progress in the MLIS program
-earn at least a B in all core classes
-registered for a minimum of 3 INFOST credits by May 1

Strong Preference for:
-students with a demonstrated interest in and commitment to education and the school library field

This scholarship is named in honor of Carol M. Reinagle, who dedicated 24+ years of service to school librarianship. She earned her bachelor’s degree as a non-traditional student and went on to pursue a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree. Carol was known as an innovator, technology pioneer, and lifelong learner.
