Awarded to students enrolled in the Honors College who graduated from one of the following high schools:

• Milwaukee Excellence Charter School
• Carmen High Schools
• Hmong American Peace Academy
• Milwaukee High School of the Arts
• The Indian Community School
• Golda Meir High Schools
• Salam School of Milwaukee
• Messmer High School
• St. Joan Antida High School
• St. Augustine Preparatory Academy
• Milwaukee School of Languages
• Escuela Verde
• Milwaukee Academy of Science
• Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy
• North Division High School
• South Division High School
• Shalom High School
• James Madison Academic Campus (JMAC)
• Alliance School of Milwaukee
• Vincent High School

A preference will be granted for those students with financial need.

The following hierarchy of criteria apply:

1. An incoming freshman who has a demonstrated interest in racial equity, inclusion, or social justice, shown through personal statement, or evidence of participation in community groups or activities with this focus.
2. A continuing student who has a demonstrated interest in racial equity, inclusion, or social justice, or evidence of participation in community or UWM groups or activities with this focus.
3. If in a given year, criteria 1 and 2 do not yield a candidate, the committee will choose the most deserving continuing student using the criteria of graduation school and financial need.
