Morris & Miriam Marden Undergraduate Award in Mathematics
The Morris and Miriam Marden Undergraduate Award in Mathematics is given to one or more outstanding majors in the Department of Mathematical Sciences: math, data science, actuarial science, & applied math and computer science. Priority in the selection process will be given to students who submit an outstanding research paper on a mathematical topic. Both quality of exposition and mathematical content will be evaluated. The paper need not be written specifically for the Marden Award; papers originally written for coursework, independent study, or other reasons are acceptable. Students who choose to not submit a paper may also be considered based on their academic record at the discretion of the faculty review committee.
Applications are typically accepted in April each year.
