Communication Department Undergraduate Student Awards
For communication students with demonstrated academic merit and/or engagement in communication research projects.. Declared communication majors with junior or senior standing will be considered for all available scholarships in the Department of Communication for Spring 2025. Students must be enrolled in Spring 2025 to be considered. Students graduating in December 2024 or January 2025 are not eligible.
- Amelia Lucas Award – one $500 award is given to a Communication graduate student or undergraduate major with demonstrated excellence in research
- John Paul Jones Scholarship – one to three awards are given valued at $500 or higher to graduate students or undergraduate juniors or seniors with demonstrated academic excellence and financial need
- Frank E.X. Dance Scholarship – one or two awards valued $500 to $1,000 are given to a Communication major with academic merit and junior or senior standing
- John R. Johnson Scholarship – One $500 academic merit scholarship is given to a Communication major with junior or senior standing
