We Energies Scholarship

Awarded to undergraduate students in the MKE Scholars program. Apply for the MKE Scholars program here.

MKE Scholars recipients must satisfy the following criteria to receive this scholarship:

• Graduate of a high school located in the City of Milwaukee
• Academic merit or potential for academic success
• Demonstrated financial need

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years ($4000 total), provided the recipient remains in good academic standing and demonstrates need.

Many scholarships and other awards at UWM are made possible by gifts from donors. Hearing from recipients gives donors a glimpse of how they have made a difference in the lives of students. MKE Scholars recipients of the We Energies Scholarship will be required to answer the following questions as part of the acceptance process:

1. Please describe your background, interests, and activities.
2. Why did you choose UWM, and what are your career goals?
3. Why do you think the MKE Scholars Program is a good fit for you at UWM?
4. What does receiving this award mean to you? Please share your gratitude.
