African & African Diaspora Studies Undergraduate Scholarships

The African and African Diaspora Studies program offers two undergraduate scholarships. Students can apply for both with this single application and applications are typically accdepted in February/March each year. Awards given in spring are for the following school year so students graduating that same spring or summer are not eligible. E.G. applications reviewed in Spring 2023 are for Fall 2023; students graduating in May or August 2023 are not eligible.

The W. Michael Ross Scholarship supports a meritorious student majoring or minoring in African and African Diaspora Studies. Only students with documented financial need as shown on the FAFSA are eligible for consideration.

The Lorenzo Henderson Scholarship is for an AADS major or minor with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA and documented financial need as shown on the FAFSA.
