Bill Carlsen Memorial Scholarship
Bill Carlsen, WTMJ weathercaster from 1951–1972, was one of the United States’ first television weathercasters. A scholarship in his name, administered jointly by UWM and WTMJ, has been established in his memory. Atmospheric Science majors at UWM are eligible for the scholarship.
A committee consisting of the Chair of the UWM Mathematical Sciences Department, a representative from WTMJ-TV, and a UWM Atmospheric Sciences professor will review your application. The dollar value of the scholarship is dependent upon available funds. For more information, contact Professor Paul Roebber.
