Carol M. Reinagle Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to students pursuing School Library Media certification in the School of Information Studies (SOIS)
Named in honor of Carol M. Reinagle, who dedicated 24+ years of service to school librarianship. She earned her bachelor’s degree as a non-traditional student and went on to pursue a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) degree. Carol was known as an innovator, technology pioneer, and lifelong learner.
Eligibility:
- New and Continuing students
- Full or part-time enrollment
- SOIS students pursuing School Library Media certification
- Current or permanent Wisconsin resident with financial need
The following criteria must be satisfied:
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress in the School Library Media certification program
- Earn a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
- Students must also register for a minimum of 3 INFOST credits by May 1
- Preference for a student with a demonstrated interest in and commitment to education and the school library field, indicating plans in the library profession in a school library
