- Graduate student enrolled in the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) program
- Academic merit (minimum cum GPA 3.0)
- Financial need
- Certified/licensed teacher
- Demonstrated interest in and commitment to education and a career as a school librarian/media specialist.
