Thelma H. Kulwicki University Charitable Trust
Thelma H. Kulwicki was Alan Kulwicki’s step mother. After Alan’s untimely death (1954-1993), she established a trust to honor his legacy as a champion race car driver and engineer. Alan was proud of his degree in mechanical engineering from UWM and the impact it had on his racing success. Alan was the first college-educated driver to win the Winston Cup Series in 1992.
Impact
Thelma wished to honor Alan’s legacy as a college student and as a professional racer.
