The Estate of Gertrude Eichstaedt
Gertrude Eichstaedt received her BA from the University of Chicago and her MA from UWM, where she served as an Assistant Dean in the College of Letters & Science for many years until her retirement in 1988. Those who had the privilege to work with Gertrude knew her as an intelligent, diligent, and exceptionally caring colleague and friend.
Impact
The Eichstaedt fund has supported Letters & Science students for more than a decade, in particular helping students successfully transition from freshman year to sophomore year with a little less financial burden.
