Susan J. Rose

Dr. Susan Rose, Professor Emerita, served on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Helen Bader School of Social Welfare from 1992-2021. Her teaching responsibilities included the areas of mental health and advanced practice. Dr. Rose received her doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago and has extensive clinical experience in community mental health and family-based service-delivery systems in child welfare.

Dr. Rose’s interest in international social work education has been ongoing. She served as the chair of the Helen Bader School’s International Studies Committee, during which time she initiated summer study abroad courses in comparative public policy in England, Austria, Costa Rica, and South Africa.

Impact

Dr. Rose hopes this scholarship will enhance opportunities for graduate students in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare to participate in international study programs in social welfare.
