Ramzi Doany was born in Jordan, attended high school in London, and moved to Milwaukee at age 19 as an international student. He graduated from UWM in 1992 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked in a Milwaukee accounting firm before moving to New York City, where he was an auditor for Marsh & McLennan Agency.

Impact

Ramzi worked at Marsh & McLennan Agency’s New York office on the 100th floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center. He perished in the World Trade Center bombing on September 11, 2001. His family and friends established this scholarship in his memory.

Family and friends remember Ramzi as a kind, fun and generous man. In his memory, they prefer to support international students, especially Palestinians and Jordanians.
