Robert and Hope Longwell-Grice
Robert and Hope Longwell-Grice are long-time employees of UWM. When they established this scholarship fund, Hope was Acting Associate Dean of the School of Education and Rob was Senior Advisor in the Office of Academic Services. In this role, he oversaw the process and procedure for awarding scholarships.
Impact
Rob and Hope established this scholarship fund for graduate students aspiring to become college administrators. The fund will become a permanent endowment when they retire. They prefer to assist first-generation students.
“Neither of my parents nor any of my grandparents attended college, so that influenced our decision to make a scholarship for first-generation students a part of our planning,” says Robert Longwell-Grice.
