Richard Schreiner and Alison Graf

Richard Schreiner and Alison Graf

Richard Schreiner earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Marquette University College of Engineering, and in 1982 he earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from the UWM College of Engineering and Applied Science. Richard and Alison Graf were married in 1988, hosting their reception at the former UWM Alumni House (now a privately owned residence). Richard retired from Johnson Controls in 2013 as a product development engineer.

Impact

Richard is acutely aware of the relentlessly rising cost of a university education. Richard attended undergraduate school as a first-generation college student, and he understands from his own experience the multiple challenges such students face. He and Alison hope their gifts to the Success Fund for programming such as tutoring and math skill development will encourage students who need additional help to succeed.
