Mr. Dale Ihlenfeldt and Mrs. Elinor Slaymaker Ihlenfeldt
Elinor Ihlenfeldt and her husband, Dale (deceased) established this scholarship fund in memory of Elinor?s mother, Clara Hertel Slaymaker, who was a school teacher. Clara graduated from the Milwaukee State Teachers College, the predecessor school to UWM?s School of Education.
Impact
Elinor and Dale established the scholarship fund to assist students aspiring to be teachers and to honor the profession Clara loved. The fund provides scholarships for students majoring in education.
