Melkus Family Foundation
Ken Melkus earned two degrees from UWM—a bachelor’s degree in 1969 and an MBA in 1971. A few years after graduating, he moved his family to Nashville to pursue work in the health care industry and enjoyed a successful career developing and managing related businesses there. The Melkus Family Foundation was established in 1993.
Impact
Through this fund, the Melkus Family Foundation hopes to enable the Lubar School of Business to attract and retain a highly qualified and widely diverse pool of graduate students who demonstrate the potential for developing into productive professionals and responsible citizens in their communities. The Melkus Family Foundation is committed to supporting nonprofit organizations that address root causes, enable systemic change, and offer comprehensive and innovative solutions to the social issues created by injustice and the lack of access to resources and opportunity.
