Impact

As a geriatrician, she has conducted research to test and disseminate community-based interventions to help older adults prevent falls and improve their health. Through her research, teaching, and mentoring, she has worked to foster health equity and reduce disparities. Her parents’ assets made it possible for her to attend college. She has established this scholarship to help others who may have faced systemic injustices that made it difficult to afford college.
