James Levenson '76 and Dorathea Levenson

James B. Levenson studied the dynamics of forest fragmentation in the agro-urban landscape of Milwaukee and Ozaukee Counties. Under Professor Forest Stearns, he received his PhD in Botany from UWM in 1976. After graduation, he joined the faculty of Saginaw Valley State College as an Assistant Professor of Biology. In 1979, he became an Environmental Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory where he worked for 30 years in the applied aspects of environmental planning and compliance. Dorathea received her BA in Computer Sciences from Lewis University in 1987. Also at Argonne National Laboratory, her career focused on hazardous materials management, computer network security, and cyber security. Combined, James and Dorathea contributed over 65 years of service at Argonne National Laboratory.
