Herman and Bertha Weil
Dr. Herman Weil (1905-1995) and his wife Bertha (deceased 1997) created the Herman and Bertha Weil Honors Fund in 1995 in memory of their deceased parents, Leopold/Selma Weil and Wolf/Amalia Weiler, all of whom perished during the Holocaust. Dr. Weil, Professor Emeritus, served on the faculty of the UWM Department of Psychology and was a vigorous proponent of the Honors Program and excellence in research and writing.
Impact
Through their gift, Herman and Bertha Weil sought to encourage independent research and writing at an advanced level by Honors Program students.
