Greater Milwaukee Foundation James and Dorothy Shaw Fund

A $4.3 million bequest from Dorothy Shaw, widow of James Shaw, a prominent Milwaukee attorney created the initial funding in 1982. Through various research and scholarship programs, the Shaws’ gift has awarded more than $15 million to students and scientists at UW-Madison and UWM through the years.
