Friends and Family of Dr. Thomas J. Bontly

Dr. Thomas J. “Tom” Bontly, Professor Emeritus of English at UWM, passed away in 2012. In a career spanning more than four decades, Dr. Bontly strove to find a balance. For 35 years as a faculty member at UWM, he taught creative writing, worked on his own writing and even was Chair of the English Department for a time. After his retirement in 2001, Dr. Bontly continued to write, including working on what would have been his fifth novel.
