Dr. Cynthia V. Sommer
Dr. Cynthia V. Sommer was a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences for 28 years, with a teaching and research specialty in Microbiology and Immunology. She served as Department Vice-chair, advised students, mentored graduate and undergraduate students, supported high school student summer research programs, and presented community Science Bag programs.
Impact
The goal of the scholarship is to provide undergraduate students with an opportunity to understand and explore science for a better world.
