Dean Erickson
Emily Kachel Robertson earned her Master of Science in Administrative Leadership-Adult Education from UWM in 1980. She went on to work in continuing education at Marquette, eventually earning a doctorate in educational administration there. A Milwaukee native, she has spent her lifetime devoted to furthering adult education. Emily is also passionate about fiber arts, and she especially enjoys creating hooked rugs. At age 60, Emily was admitted to the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, MA, and was ordained in 2006. She and her husband both serve at Community Baptist Church in the Washington Park area
Impact
Emily created this scholarship to help School of Education students graduate on time and with as little debt as possible. She is especially interested in helping juniors and seniors who encounter obstacles on the final leg of their educational journey. “I hope to help students in our community and the region begin their careers with freedom from debt and unlimited opportunity to put their knowledge to work.”
