Carol Selby Surges '96
Carol S. Surges ‘96 earned her master’s degree in Library and Information Science from UWM in 1996. She is a retired public-school librarian who served elementary school students in the Brown Deer and Wauwatosa districts and promoted basic literacy skills throughout her career.
Impact
Carol makes this scholarship gift in loving honor and memory of her mother, Martha M. “Marty” Selby (1927-2013). Marty was never able to attend college, but she possessed significant talent in several areas of the visual arts. Well after her retirement, her mother created beautiful works of art in clay and fiber arts.
