Candace Winkle & David Flanigan
David and Candace own David Flanigan, LTD. Candace Winkle graduated with a masters degree in Geosciences from UWM in 1980.
Impact
They are eager to support both graduate students and students doing field work in Geosciences as Candace recalls her own field camp experience. Candace believes teaching and research assistantships in Geosciences are imperative to students as they provide study-related jobs and experience. The late Katherine Nelson was a professor Candace truly looked up to as a woman and as a geoscientist. She and David hope to honor her through this award, as well as Professor Emeritus Doug Cherkauer and Professor Norm Lasca, as both had a positive effect on her.
