Bruce W. Mielke '66, '67, '70 and Janice M. Mielke '68, '70
Bruce Mielke earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Mathematics from UWM. Janice Mielke earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French from UWM. They spent their careers serving higher education in Wisconsin, with Bruce serving on the Mathematical Sciences faculty at UW-Green Bay, and Janice working for UW-Green Bay in marketing and communications. They both passed away in December 2022, leaving their estate to charity.
Impact
The donors created this scholarship in gratitude for the high-quality education they received at UWM, and with the hopes of helping UWM students achieve success.
