After starting his career in Public Accounting, Art Wigchers joined the Zilber organization in 1976 and for over 30 years managed the commercial and residential real estate operations of Zilber Ltd. first as President of its Towne Realty, Inc. subsidiary and ultimately as President and CEO of Zilber Ltd. Art has retired but still serves on the board of Zilber Ltd. Art and his wife Mary Ann devote much of their time to Catholic Relief Services with particular focus on an initiative in Ethiopia to empower and educate young girls. Art and Mary Ann also enjoy spending time with their nine grandchildren.

Bill Wigchers started his career as a corporate real estate attorney before joining Zilber Ltd. in 1998. As Executive Vice President of Zilber Ltd., Bill oversees residential homebuilding and apartment development operations in Wisconsin, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Florida, and Texas. Bill’s wife Meagan is a graduate of UWM’s School of Business and introduced Bill to the real estate program at UWM where he has volunteered time over the years as a guest speaker for real estate development classes. Bill serves on the board of the Wisconsin Partnership for Housing Development, a statewide affordable housing organization. Meagan is an active volunteer at St. Mary’s Parish in Hales Corners and Divine Savior Holy Angels High School. She has also worked extensively with St. Mary’s sister Parish in Haiti. Bill and Meagan have four daughters.

Impact

The Wigchers family is passionate about supporting all levels of education in the greater Milwaukee area as well as abroad. It is our hope that this scholarship can help further the education and future potential of hard-working students at UWM.
