The American Planning Association and its chapters provide leadership through citizen and professional planners in the development of vital and sustainable communities by advocating excellence in community planning, promoting education and citizen empowerment, and providing the tools necessary to effect positive change.
Impact
We believe that planners must play an active role to empower people of color and reduce economic and racial segregation within and between our communities. Supporting the development of urban planners who identify as BIPOC is one of the ways that APA – WI pursues its mission.
