Alexander B. Stewart and Michael R. Stewart

Carole Stewart (1952-2018) served the Milwaukee community for more than 30 years as a psychotherapist and behavioral health specialist. After completing her Master of Science in Social Work at UW-Madison, she spent her career working with children and families in the Milwaukee area, particularly at Sinai Samaritan and Aurora Health Care, including the Aurora Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Colleagues remember her as a “consummate professional” that improved the lives of countless adults, children and families during her career.

Impact

Carole’s husband, Alex, and her oldest son, Michael, are excited to create and endow this scholarship to honor her memory and to support graduate students who share her commitment to psychotherapy and behavioral and mental health. The Stewart family has many cherished memories tied to the UWM community and Alex earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from UWM in 1994 and 1999
