RHC Emergency Fall Award

The Roberto Hernández Center (RHC) awards emergency grants to students who satisfy the following criteria:

• Engagement in the activities of the RHC, or in the activities of other UWM or community-based organizations that support Latinx communities
• Financial need

Please be advised that receipt of an emergency grant can be interpreted as taxable income. If you are awarded money through an Emergency Scholarship, you may receive a 1099 form at the end of the year indicating that the amount of your award is being counted as part of your income. If this occurs, you will be responsible for reporting that income to the IRS.
