How to Apply for Scholarships

Admitted and current students have a Panther Scholarship Portal profile created for them based on their UWM student record. Sign in using your ePantherID and complete the General Application to match with scholarships in one of two ways:

  • Auto-Match Scholarships do not have any additional questions beyond the General Application, and your application is forwarded to the committee(s) overseeing each scholarship if you satisfy the qualifications. About 85% of UWM’s scholarships are auto-match opportunities based on the General Application.
  • Apply-To Scholarships require additional questions or items (like a resume or reference) for you to be considered. When you’re signed in, "Apply” will appear under the Actions column, and you must submit a scholarship-specific application. About 15% of UWM’s scholarships are apply-to opportunities.

Qualifying and/or applying does not guarantee that you will be offered a scholarship.
