Environmental Internship Scholarship

The Environmental Internship Scholarship provides funding for a Conservation and Environmental Science major or minor to engage in a for-credit internship. Eligible students will have an internship related to environmental science or conservation lined up or in the process of being secured. The criteria are:

  • Plans for completion of a 3-credit internship at an organization with an environmental science or conservation mission
  • A declared Conservation and Environmental Science major or minor
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA
  • Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial need as shown on the FAFSA
Students selected for this scholarship will need to enroll in an internship course within the major or minor, and this scholarship is intended to cover the costs of those credits.

Applicants need to thoroughly complete the UWM general scholarship application including the activities and work experience being sure to include all information that you wish to share with the review committee about your activities related to conservation and environmental science. Applications are typically accepted during the spring semester.
